Turkey and Texas could be on the schedule for the Horned Frogs on Thanksgiving Day.
Once a joint television agreement is made between ESPN and Fox, the Longhorn and Horned Frog Thanksgiving Day game will be official, Bob Burda, assistant commisioner of communications for the Big 12, said.
"It's still in the works and we anticipate that the game will be held on Thanksgiving," Burda said.
One TCU season ticket holder said they recieved their tickets in the mail Thursday, and the tickets read Nov. 22 as game day.
During Mack Brown’s media luncheon Sunday afternoon, the Longhorn head football coach hinted toward the game, originally scheduled for Nov. 24, being their new Thanksgiving Day tradition.
“It sounds like we’re playing on Thanksgiving again,” Brown said. “I like that for our players, I like it for the fans and I like for that tradition to continue, to stay alive.”
Sports anchor Newy Scruggs tweeted Sunday that the Longhorns and Horned Frogs will play on Thanksgiving.
TCU will now play Texas on Thanksgiving night Austin.

Arthur Johnson, associate athletics director for football operations at UT said nothing has been finalized but UT’s athletic department was told to keep both dates available and that they should know by the start of the season.
Although UT's official athletic site also has the game set for Nov. 22, Johnson said he is not sure why the website has already changed.
The schedule has not changed on TCU’s official athletic site. Mark Cohen, TCU director of athletics media relations, said in an email on Monday that as television contracts are finalized, there is always a possibility the date of a game could change.
