With the start of a new season, many Horned Frogs are looking to move up in the TCU record books. Here is a quick look at some players who should make history tonight and what other accomplishments could be achieved this season with some help from Horned Frog fans.

Matthew Tucker, Running Back, Senior

If Matthew Tucker only carries the ball twice tonight, that will be enough to move him into ninth place on the career rushing attempts list compiled during the Gary Patterson era (1998-present). The senior running back also needs eight yards on the ground to rank sixth in career rushing yards. Both accomplishments should happen tonight against Grambling. Tucker could move into third place for career rushing touchdowns tonight, needing only three to move up.

Casey Pachall, Quarterback, Junior

The junior quarterback is the most efficient quarterback in the Gary Patterson era. Casey Pachall’s 158.4 efficiency rating is 17.7 points above former Frog Andy Dalton. Pachall also ranks no. 1 in completion percentage at 66.5. He currently sits in sixth place for career passing yards with 2,999 yards and only needs 133 to move into fifth place. The Brownwood, Texas native also needs 20 completions to rank fifth all-time for career completions during the Patterson era.

The Fans

TCU fans could also rewrite the record books this year. If all six home games sellout or come close to selling out the new 44,000 seat stadium, they would break the single season total for attendance of 254,797 set in 2010. In addition, the best average attendance in a season (2010) is 42,460, a record that could easily be broken this year.
