As Hurricane Sandy heads toward the east coast, the storm is not expected to affect TCU’s football game against West Virginia Saturday.
“Right now, our part of West Virginia is just experiencing rain,” West Virginia Assistant Athletic Director of Communications Michael Fragale said. “There are no plans as of now to cancel the game.”
The rain in Morgantown, W.Va. is supposed to stop Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, Fragale said.
#Big12 WVU coach Dana Holgorsen: “We’re monitoring the hurricane, it should be out of here by Friday. It might affect our preparation.”

The Big 12 will continue to “monitor the storm” and make alternate plans if needed, Bob Burda, Big 12 associate commissioner of communication, said.
Talking about canceling the game is “premature,” but the safety of the traveling players and fans will be a consideration, Burda said.
