Students participated in an annual campus-wide day of service called TCU LEAPS on Nov. 3.
TCU LEAPS is a day of service sending students and faculty to volunteer together in the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
This year, students could volunteer at food banks, crisis and refugee sites such as The NET, environment and animal sites, homelessness sites and/or youth education sites.
All TCU students who participated received free food before heading to their respective sites as well as a free LEAPS t-shirt. The back of the t-shirt reads, "Promoting a lifelong commitment to service one Saturday at a time."
After completing their volunteer hours, the TCU LEAPS liaisons held a period of reflection with their groups before heading back to campus. The 8 a.m. shifts returned to TCU around noon and the second wave of volunteers headed out to their work sites.
