TCU women's basketball commences its inaugural season in the Big 12 this year. To reflect this, here are 12 facts, figues and stats about the team.
1- The number of TCU players who were homeschooled. Senior guard Whitney Williams played prep basketball for the Texas Home Educators Sports Association.
2- The number of seniors on TCU's team. Williams and forward DeLisa Gross are the sole seniors for the Horned Frogs.
2- The number of recent NCAA champions TCU plays this year. Baylor, which went undefeated to a national title run, and Texas A&M, which won the 2010-11 championship both play TCU this season.
8- The number of preseason-ranked top 25 teams TCU plays this year. Four teams (Baylor, Georgia, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State) are ranked in the top 15.
8- The number of returning letterwinners TCU will have this season. Antoinette Thompson is the only starter not returning for the Frogs this year.
