The TCU men’s basketball team will finish its season-opening five game homestand against Navy on Tuesday.
Navy’s visit to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum is part of the South Padre Island Tournament. TCU won its first game of the tournament 44-39 over Prairie View A&M.
Navy dropped its first game 82-63 to the University Alabama-Birmingham to fall to 2-1.
Both teams will play in South Padre Island on Friday and Saturday to finish the tournament.
Junior guard Jarvis Ray leads the Frogs in scoring with 11.3 points per game. Senior forward Garlon Green is grabbing a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game.
TCU’s defense has held teams to 49 points per game, and ranks No. 2 in the Big 12 and No. 8 in the nation. The Frogs also rank No. 29 in the nation in field goal percentage at 39.3 percent.
Freshman guard Tilman Dunbar leads Navy with 12.3 points and 6.8 assists per game. The Midshipmen post 65.5 points per game and hold opponents to 59.
The Midshipmen were picked to finish eighth in the Patriot League with a squad that has no seniors and four juniors.
Game time is set for 6 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.
