At halftime the TCU women’s basketball team leads Houston 34-25.

Houston struck first with two quick layups by point guard Porsche Landry, but TCU responded with a 16-0 run to take a double-digit lead.

Sophomore Natalie Ventress leads the Horned Frogs with 10 points and five rebounds, while freshman Marche’ Amerson leads the Cougars in scoring with 10 points as well.

TCU has done much of their damage from the three-point line, netting six first-half threes.

The Horned Frogs led by double figures for much of the first half before a late run by Houston cut the lead down to nine.
