Students who are interested in cycling, but have been too nervous to try, have a new option at the University Recreation Center.
Alice Carter, director of advancement research, created a beginner’s cycling class because she said she wanted to remove the stigma associated with advanced cycling classes.
“I hope that we can remove the intimidation,” Carter said. “We could progress as a group, we could start very easy and each week gets a little bit harder.”
The class is offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. in the cycling studio at the Rec Center.
