TCU pitcher Lance Broadway was recognized as the 2004-05 Conference USA Male Athlete of the Year for his performance on the mound during his junior season. Broadway led the nation in wins with 15, posted a 1.62 ERA, struck out 151 batters and walked 35 in 117 innings last spring. He finished 9-0 with a 1.66 ERA in 10 C-USA starts.
Broadway received recognition as a first or second-team All-American by numerous baseball organizations and publications.
In June, the Chicago White Sox drafted Broadway with the 15th overall pick in the Major League Draft, making him the highest draft pick in TCU history.
