As students living on campus, we are obligated to put a specific amount of money onto our meal plan. This money is supposed to last us the whole semester. With the new changes made to menus at the different dining options around campus, such as The Main or Pond Street Grill, the prices of the menu options have increased dramatically. I have to face the problem that the money I have on my meal plan is not sufficient anymore. The amount of money, which would normally supply me with enough meals to last, is now only lasting me two weeks. I did not have a problem with the dining options last year, but this year, the rise in prices is absurd. I am going through my meal plan money like it is water. But it’s OK … TCU knows that Daddy will sign the checks. Officials can raise prices of anything on campus that they deem necessary, and they know that no matter how high the prices get, they will always get their money.
