TCU clinches MWC title with win against Rebels

The baseball team clinched its fourth straight Mountain West Conference regular season championship Friday by defeating the Rebels of UNLV, 14-10.

TCU (34-14) clinched the title with a conference record of 14-5 and still has one more game to play against UNLV Saturday at 2 p.m. San Diego State and BYU currently share second place in the conference with 14-8 records and one game remaining.

TCU will be the No. 1 seed going into the conference tournament next week at Lupton Stadium and will play its first game at 7 p.m. Wednesday, the second day of tournament play. The Horned Frogs will face the lowest seed to advance past Tuesday’s opening day games between the third through sixth seeds.
