Town hall meeting an opportunity for student input

Members of the Student Government Association are going beyond the call of duty and making access to representatives easier than ever by hosting a Student Relations Town Hall meeting tonight in the Brown-Lupton University Union at 7 p.m.

Their efforts to hear student input should be commended by all in the campus community. Representatives are already fairly accessible, as students can contact representatives in person or by e-mail to provide suggestions or raise concerns. SGA also hosts Improve TCU Day, which allows for students to write down their suggestions and concerns on notecards or posters that are made available across campus.

By hosting a town hall-style meeting in addition to the other points of access they already provide, SGA representatives are taking initiative and showing a willingness to serve their constituents to the best of their abilities.

Students should take this opportunity and run with it. SGA members are obviously open to hearing and considering student input, so students would be wise to take advantage of the meeting.
