Letter From the Editor-in-Chief: Announcing Our Redesigned Web & Print TCU Daily Skiff!

Letter From the Editor-in-Chief: Announcing Our Redesigned Web & Print TCU Daily Skiff!

Gentle Readers,

We spent the summer redesigning both our print and web editions of the Skiff and we need your help! Please take a moment to review our changes, both in our web version, which will launch in about a week and in our print version once the semester starts

The web redesign reflects the changing face of journalism. With the website redesign, we will be able to post stories as they come in rather than waiting until our print dateline late at night. Breaking news will be constantly uploaded and we will present a combined, interactive web product with embedded photos and video that showcases all facets of a particular story.

The new tabloid format for the Daily Skiff print edition is smaller than the former broadsheet paper which we believe will give you a smoother read by making it easier to handle and grasp. The new format also allows us to experiment a lot more with photography, graphics and image-intensive packages. We also added a back sports cover, in conjunction with TCU’s huge rise into the national spotlight.

All in all, we’ve got the redesign almost completely done. But your feedback will help us dramatically shape the direction of where the new Skiff is going. Please take a moment to let us know your thoughts once the new product hits the Web and the stands!
