TCU beats Baylor 45-10

In front of a sold out crowd at Amon G. Carter Stadium the No. 4 Horned Frogs kept the lead the entire game defeating Baylor 45-10.

The Frogs opened with an 80-yard drive ending with a 28-yard touchdown pass by quarterback Andy Dalton to Jeremy Kerley.

Shortly after the frogs first touchdown sophomore Ed Wesley broke past the Bears defense for a 49-yard touchdown, the longest carry by a Horned Frog this season.

The Bears earned a spot on the scoreboard during the second quarter when Baylor punter Aaron Jones kicked a 48-yard field goal.

The Frogs kept their lead strong in the first quarter after Matthew Tucker scored a one-yard touchdown.

The Frogs offense continued strong during the second quarter. Wesley carried his second touchdown of the game during the second quarter shortly followed by a touchdown by Junior Luke Shivers.

The second half started slow with little action by either team until Wesley broke through the Baylor offense for a 34-yard drive. The Frogs were not able to make a touchdown out of Wesley’s drive but Horned Frog kicker Ross Evans kicked a 23-yard field goal to increase the Frogs lead in the third quarter.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin made a 53-yard pass to Josh Gordon to earn the Bears first touchdown of the game.

A touchdown in the fourth quarter was led by Dalton’s 9-yard pass to Kerley. Dalton’s pass to Kerley was his 48thyard career scoring pass. After Dalton’s two scoring passes against Baylor he is only one touchdown pass away from taking the TCU all-time lead from Max Knake.

Wesley’s also broke a record during his performance against Baylor. Wesley broke his career-high with 146 rushing yards. Wesley’s previous record was against Utah last season for 137 yards. Tonight’s game marked his third 100-yard game of his career.
