Dear Horned Frogs,
As Student Body President of Southern Methodist University I want to offer congratulations on the incredible success of your football team especially the impressive 45-10 win over Baylor this past Saturday. I am also very excited to welcome many of you to our campus for the football game this Friday. We at SMU always look forward to the SMU TCU rivalry and are excited to host the Battle for the Iron Skillet in Dallas this year. At SMU we do not tailgate we “boulevard” and I hope to see many TCU students on the boulevard before the game. Please feel free to visit the numerous student tents prior to kickoff and enjoy some of the Southern hospitality that we are proud of at SMU. Classes will be held during the day so we ask that you be mindful of this and ask that you arrive ready to cheer on the Horned Frogs after 1 p.m. Like most universities parking can be difficult on game days but there is free parking at Mockingbird Station at the corner of 75 and Mockingbird, it is only a short walk from campus. Every campus has different tailgating or “boulevarding” policies and ours are located at here should you have any specific questions. I look forward to seeing you for the game and more importantly I look forward to SMU keeping the Iron Skillet in Dallas this year. If SMU loses I will wear a TCU shirt for a day. Good luck this year both on and off the field!
