In a game that could change the face of college football, the No. 3 Horned Frogs did anything but fold under the pressure. Not only did the Frogs shutout the No. 5 ranked University of Utah Utes in the first half, but also recorded a season high 237 offensive yards in the first quarter alone.

Senior quarterback Andy Dalton passed for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dalton’s 93-yard touchdown pass to freshman wide receiver Josh Boyce marked the third longest offensive play (and pass) in school history. A third touchdown pass was completed by senior wide receiver Jeremy Kerley to fellow senior wide receiver Bart Johnson out of the Wildfrog offensive formation.

With a field goal early in the second quarter, the Frogs held their lead 23-0 heading into the second half.
