Plans after graduation

What’s after graduation?

Alex Ferguson, a finance major from Fort Worth

“I will be working for the Burleson [Area] Chamber of Commerce as the director of community outreach. I started a youth initiative and plan on being there for at least a year to see the changes through and leave a positive impact on the community.”

Katlin Beecherl, an interior design major from Dallas

“I am going to go back to Dallas to get a first time job at some kind of commercial design firm, hopefully one in health care design. It’s going to be a couple of years before I plan to go back to school and get a masters in architecture.”

Justin Floyd, a religion and sociology double major from Fort Worth

“In January, I’m starting seminary at Brite Divinity School. My goal is to get out of Fort Worth for a little bit and see where life takes me. I love Fort Worth and I’ll certainly return sometime, but for now I’m ready to get out and leave my hometown since I haven’t done that yet.”

Whitney Williams, a strategic communication major from Dallas

“I started a jewelry company when I was a freshman, so I’m re-launching it as The Whitney Williams Collection. In January, I’m going to Colombia for three weeks to train orphans with job training skills through the Gladney Center for Adoption. I’m also working with Vie Magazine in writing a report for New York Fashion Week.”

Catherine Butterworth, a political science major from Flower Mound

“I’m moving up to D.C. in January for an internship at the former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s communication firm.”
