Fans from TCU and the community helped to congratulate the Texas Christian University football team on its Rose Bowl victory.

The celebration was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on the TCU campus. Doors to the DMC opened at 2:30 p.m. but the line to get in to the celebration raveled around the parking lot long before 2 p.m. 

Purple lights, streamers and screaming fans helped to mark the TCU achievement. Head coach Gary Patterson, Athletic Director Chris Del Conte, Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief and Student Body President Jackie Wheeler spoke at the event. The team, band, TCU Showgirls and TCU Cheerleaders were all present to entertain the huge crowd.
