TCU Cheerleaders advanced to the finals of the National Cheerleading Association’s national competition Thursday. They will compete in the finals 5 p.m. Friday.
The team did not perform the basket toss, which counts for 11 points of the competition and was banned by TCU’s Athletics Department for safety reasons.
The squad will compete against 10 other teams in the All-Girls 1A Division at the four-day competition. A total of 276 other schools participated in the competition.
The squad raised $15,000 to pay for transportation, living and NCA fees at the event in Daytona, Fla.
