Located in the heart of the 109, Yogi’s Bagel Cafe is a local hotspot for community members, business people and Texas Christian University students.
The popular breakfast and lunch cafe is revamping its menu and introducing new items.
Every three to five years, new menu items are introduced and some previous items are revamped, said owner Yogi Florsheim.
The updated menu will feature a greater selection of salads, egg dishes, omelets, paninis and an eggs Benedict plate. These selections will be available early next month.
“I can’t wait to see the new items on the menu. I am obsessed with the migas breakfast, and I’m sure I will find a new favorite on the revamped menu,” said Kristine Huber, a Yogi’s customer.
Florsheim started the cafe 11 years ago with his brother-in-law. Since the opening, Yogi’s has accumulated a strong customer following. Sunday and Saturday are the busiest days of the week, and Yogi’s has a lunch rush Monday through Friday, said Florsheim.
“Customers keep coming because of our quality of food, quick service, consistency and a friendly experience,” said Florsheim.
With popular demand and a growing customer-base, Florsheim may expand in the future. He had plans to open another location in the developing West Seventh area, but the plan did not go through.
“Expansion and franchising in Dallas/Fort Worth is definitely a possibility for Yogi’s Bagel Cafe,” he said.
