Three Horned Frogs will compete in the Miss Texas pageant Friday at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Jordan Johannsen, a 2011 TCU alumna and the 2010 Miss Texas first runner up will be competing for a chance to crowned by friend and former roommate, the reigning Miss Texas, Ashley Melnick.

Melnick, a senior broadcast journalism major at TCU will pass down the crown tonight, ending her term as Miss Texas.

Johannsen, who represents Colleyville, was named the preliminary swimsuit winner Thursday.

Other Horned Frogs competing for the title are Kendall Morris, representing Frisco, and Kim Borge, representing Texarkana.

The preshow with Patrick Thomas begins at 7 p.m. in Texas Hall at UTA. The show begins at 8 p.m.
