Student reports sexual assault off campus by known acquaintance

A TCU student has reported an off-campus sexual assault, according to Asst. Police Chief J.C. Williams.

This marks the third report in two weeks. The first incident was a sexual assault reported to TCU Police. The second incident was reported as a sexual assault attempt.

All three incidents, which were not related, involved a known acquaintance.

TCU Police could not comment further on the incident, which is being investigated by Fort Worth Police because the incident occurred off campus.

Calls to Fort Worth Police were not immediately returned.

TCU students received their third crime alert email regarding sexual assault just after 10:30 a.m.

The incident happened at an off-campus location several blocks south of campus, according to the email from Sgt. Kelly Ham of TCU Police.

Fort Worth Police notified TCU Police of the report, according to the email.
