COVID-19 impacted Sharpe's first year, but he didn't let that hold him back from achieving so much as a Horned Frog.

blacktopGYPSY to play at White Elephant Saloon

The native Texas band blacktopGYPSY will be performing tonight at The White Elephant Saloon  in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

The band’s genre is classified as a mix of acoustic, Americana and country. The band is made up of six people and features fiddle player Heather Stalling, lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Andie Kay Joyner, lead guitarist Steven Cooper and drummer Phillip Cardon. Jay New plays bass guitar, and Darcy Starcher sings back-up vocals.

BlacktopGYPSY  was the winner of the 2006 B.W. Stevenson’s Songwriters Competition and were finalists for the 2006 Shiner Rising Star Competition, according to their website.

BlacktopGYPSY will go on at 9 p.m.,  and there will be a $5 cover charge at the saloon, which is located at 106 E. Exchange Ave. The doors will open at 8 p.m.
