SGA to hold assault awareness forum tonight
Published Sep 27, 2011
The university’s Residence Hall Association and Student Government Association programs will hold a sexual assault awareness forum tonight.
Following several sexual assault incidents earlier this semester, there is a need to make sure the entire campus is on the same page about sexual assault, RHA president Kayla Jarzombek said.
The event will feature Tracy Tucker from Campus Life, faculty members, and possibly a law enforcement official, Jarzombek said. During the forum, students will have the opportunity to ask questions they might have regarding sexual assault, Jarzombek said. Faculty members will explain the university’s procedure for dealing with sexual assault and how to avoid it.
The forum will be held in the BLUU Auditorium at 6 p.m. For more information, visit the information table located outside the library today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
