A board of trustees meeting could be held this morning according to multiple reports. The Associated Press and the Star-Telegram both reported the information from a source who is tied to TCU.

The trustees need to meet to formally discuss TCU’s potential after Big 12’s offer.

TCU officials were contacted to verify the trustees' meeting but have yet to respond.

TCU’s invitation to join the Big 12 was confirmed Thursday morning. The conference invitation was a unanimous vote by all Big 12 school officials except University of Missouri which opted out of the vote.

Rumors are still swirling about Texas A&M’s move to the Southeastern Conference and if its schedule would be inherited by TCU. The University of Texas was scheduled to play Texas A&M during next year’s Thanksgiving game. If TCU accepts the invite it could replace A&M in the game.
