Texas Ballet Theatre presents ‘Giselle’

Texas Ballet Theater will present “Giselle” this weekend at the Bass Performance Hall. The ballet will run Friday through Sunday and is choreographed by Artistic Director Ben Stevenson.

“Giselle” is the  story of a village girl who falls in love with a member of the upper class in disguise, only to die of heartbreak when she finds out the man is already engaged. The Wilis, a group of female spirits in the graveyard in which Giselle is buried, plan to dance the jilted girl’s former lover to death as revenge, but Giselle intervenes, saving him.

Tickets range in price from $19 to $99, and can be purchased at www.texasballettheater.org or in person at the ballet offices at 1600 Green Oaks Road in Fort Worth.
