COVID-19 impacted Sharpe's first year, but he didn't let that hold him back from achieving so much as a Horned Frog.

Frogs win scrimmage against Cameron

J.R. Cadot and Craig Williams had a team-high 11 points while Hank Thorns chipped in seven assists as TCU breezed to a 68-46 win over Cameron Saturday night in an exhibition game at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Williams, a senior transfer from Temple, also led TCU in rebounding, racking up 9 boards. Fellow transfer Connell Crossland added nine points on 4-of-7 shooting in his debut as a Horned Frog.

TCU held Cameron to just 25.4% shooting from the field (17-of-67) and outrebounded the Aggies 49-to-41.

Vinicius Telo led the Aggies with 20 points and nine rebounds despite shooting a mere 8-of-25 from the field. Milton Garner was the only other Cameron player to reach double figures, chipping in 10 points.

The Aggies shot 47.1% (8-of-17) from the free throw line.

The game was the Frogs’ first, and final, tune-up before opening their official season Friday night when they host Florida Gulf Coast at 7 p.m.
