Power outage at Paschal High School

A power outage at Paschal High School, resulting from an off-campus power pole incident, has disrupted phone and Internet service and required the school to use emergency lightning, according to a press release sent out by Fort Worth Independent School District.

Students, faculty and staff are safe and comfortable and school leadership planned to continue the school day as best they could. Lunch would be provided by another school facility.

Although school officials encouraged students to remain in school, parents may pick up students by coming by the school and signing a release. The absence would be counted as an excused absence.

FWISD Senior Communications Officer Barbara Griffith said she could give no current timeline on when the power outage would be resolved. She encouraged people to check the FWISD website or follow the district on Facebook or Twitter for the latest information.

Information about the incident will be updated on the109.org as information becomes available.
