The TCU men’s basketball team is coming off its biggest win of the season after beating No. 11 UNLV 102-97 Tuesday night at home.
The Frogs (15-10 overall, 5-4 Mountain West) will try for their third straight win tomorrow afternoon when they travel to conference foe Boise State.
Senior point guard Hank Thorns led TCU to its first win over a ranked team since 2004 after dropping a game-high 32 points against the Rebels, including eight 3-pointers, two of which came in overtime. Senior J.R. Cadot registered a double-double for the Frogs, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Boise State has won two games in a row, knocking off Air Force on the road last Saturday and beating Colorado State at home Wednesday night for its first conference wins of the season.
The Broncos are 2-7 in league play and tied with Air Force for last place in the Mountain West.
TCU beat Boise State 54-52 Jan. 15 for its first conference win of the season.
Since then, the Frogs have gone 4-3 in league action and climbed into sole possession of fourth place.
