Students will be able to continue to get free green Scantrons at Mary Couts Burnett Library for the rest of the semester.
Members of the House of Student Representatives unanimously passed a bill to allocate $2,000 to buy more Scantrons Tuesday evening. In other business, Chancellor Victor Boschini spoke to the House briefly about the TCU Board of Trustees’ recent decisions regarding the university’s future.
Students said they liked the free Scantrons and were glad the Scantrons would be available for the rest of the semester.
Junior business information systems major Handong Lee said the Scantrons were convenient and saved students money. The bill was a good way to allow students access to the Scantrons, he said.
Senior strategic communication major Ellie Spencer said the Scantrons at the library were convenient because she came to the library to study.
It was easier to get Scantrons from the library than to run the TCU Barnes & Noble bookstore to buy some, she said.
According to the bill, the Scantrons in the library were nearly gone and students had come to expect them in the library.
All the unspent money will be returned to the Student Government Association, according to the legislation.
