A look at the men’s basketball season by numbers

As the men’s basketball team prepares to take on Colorado State in the first round of the Mountain West Conference tournament, here is a look at TCU by the numbers.

1 — TCU is 1-0 on games played on Thursdays.

2 — Number of times that Mountain West Conference freshman of the year, Kyan Anderson, has scored 20+ points on the season. Anderson had 20 points on the road at the Thomas & Mack Center (the site of the MWC tournament) against UNLV on Jan. 18.

3 — Number of steals by Mountain West Conference sixth man of the year Amric Fields on the road against Colorado State. Fields finished that game with 20 points.

4 — Number of 3-pointers hit by senior Craig Williams in TCU’s home victory over Colorado State on Feb. 11.

5 — Number of come-from-behind wins for TCU after trailing at halftime. When leading at halftime, the Frogs are 12-2 on the year.

6 — Number of times this season senior J.R. Cadot has grabbed 10 or more rebounds. The Frogs are 5-1 when Cadot grabs 10 or more boards.

7 — Number of points per game averaged by junior Garlon Green on neutral site games this season.

8 — Number of percentage points higher Hank Thorns is shooting from behind the arc in Mountain West play.

9 — TCU is 9-0 when out-shooting the competition. The Frogs have not been defeated when they shoot better from the floor than their opponent.
10 — TCU is 10-0 when outrebounding its opponent. J.R. Cadot has led the Frogs in rebounding 15 times this season.

The Frogs split their season series with Colorado State. In their last match up, the Frogs upended the Rams 75-71.
