Former TCU football player Jake Kirkpatrick has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the offensive lineman announced Thursday on his Twitter account.
Kirkpatrick, who graduated last year after winning the Rose Bowl, went undrafted last April but signed with the Colts as a free agent. The Tyler native was cut by the club in September.
Kirkpatrick won the 2010 Rimington Trophy for the nation’s best center and was named a Walter Camp first-team All-American his senior year.
Behind the line anchored by Kirkpatrick, the TCU offense ranked fourth nationally in scoring, averaging 41.6 points a game en route to a perfect 13-0 record.
