Politics on the agenda for Schieffer Symposium panel
Published Apr 11, 2012
Three White House correspondents, POLITICO’s co-founder and Bob Schieffer, CBS News’ chief Washington correspondent and TCU alumnus, will speak tonight at the eighth annual Schieffer Symposium on the News in Ed Landreth Auditorium.
The 6:30 p.m. panel will include 1959 alumnus Schieffer, moderator of CBS’ “Face the Nation”; Norah O’Donnell, CBS News chief White House correspondent; Jake Tapper, ABC News senior White House correspondent; POLITICO cofounder and Editor-in-Chief John Harris and NBC News chief White House Correspondent and Political Director Chuck Todd, who also hosts “The Daily Rundown” on MSNBC.
The annual symposium, which featured the late Tim Russert, Tom Brokaw and Jim Lehrer in the past, will focus on current events and the presidential election.
“This presidential campaign has been filled with more surprises than any campaign I can recall, and who knows where things will stand in April?” Schieffer told the university’s Office of Communications. “That’s why we’re bringing in four of the best reporters who are right in the middle of it.”
Tickets are free for university students, who must RSVP to [email protected] and pick up their tickets before the panel begins. Tickets are available for the public at $20 per person and may be purchased at schiefferschool.tcu.edu.
