Josh Elander went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, and six other Horned Frogs had multiple hits as the TCU baseball team beat Manhattan College 12-5 Saturday at Lupton Stadium.
Elander's fifth inning blast to left field gave TCU a 9-4 lead at the time.
Jason Coats had four hits, including three doubles, which tied a single-game school record. The TCU offense racked up 18 hits on the day, its highest total this season.
Andrew Mitchell started on the mound for TCU, throwing 3.2 innings and giving up four runs. Mitchell struggled with his control, walking three batters and hitting three more.
Tyler Duffie threw two scoreless innings in relief. Jerrick Suiter pitched a scoreless ninth inning.
The Horned Frogs (25-15) and Jaspers (20-22) will return to the field Sunday at 1 p.m. Stefan Crichton is expected to get the start on the mound for TCU.
