TCU professor’s book review instigates Buzz Bissinger’s Twitter rant

TCU professors book review instigates Buzz Bissingers Twitter rant

Assistant professor Alex Lemon found himself in the middle of Buzz Bissinger's Twitter rant for a book review he wrote.

Lemon reviewed Bissinger's newest memoir, "Father's Day: A Journey Into the Mind & Heart of My Extraordinary Son," for the Dallas Morning News. Bissinger did not agree with Lemon's review and let him know via Twitter.

Lemon said he thought Bissinger's response was ridiculous and hilarious. Social media have made book reviews more widely read and accessible to a larger audience, he said.

"Everyone has been wildly supportive of the review; they realize that it is in no way vindictive," Lemon said. "I think most people know that Buzz is a blowhard who's trying to get publicity for his book in any way he can."

Warning: There is profanity in the some of the tweets.
