On Saturday, several Horned Frogs will return home while the team tries to extend their conference-winning streak and one receiver looks to set a career record for touchdowns.

Kansas-TCU connections

TCU has four Kansas natives on their roster while a former Horned Frog directs the Kansas defensive line.  TCU head coach Gary Patterson, a Rozel, Kan. native, graduated from Big 12 rival Kansas State University in 1983. Offensive guards Blaize and Brady Foltz come from Rose Hill, Kan., while third string quarterback Tyler Matthews is a McPherson, Kan., native. On the Kansas sideline, TCU alumnus Buddy Wyatt will coach the defensive line. Wyatt is starting his third season on the Jayhawks coaching staff. He played on the Frogs defensive line from 1986-1989 and graduated with an education degree in 1990.

Pulling in conference wins

The last time TCU lost a conference game, Andy Dalton was leading the Frogs in his sophomore season. Four seasons later, the Horned Frogs will try to extend their 24-game conference-winning streak in a new conference. Utah handed the Frogs a Mountain West Conference loss on Nov. 6, 2008. The Frogs fell 13-10 to the Utes in Salt Lake City. TCU holds a 30-1 conference record over the last four seasons.

Boyce needs one touchdown for record

Josh Boyce can become the career receiving touchdown leader during the Patterson era (1998-present) this weekend. The Copperas Cove, Texas, native needs one touchdown to surpass Cory Rodgers (2002-05) and claim the no. 1 spot. He is currently tied for first with 17 touchdowns. Boyce also needs 67 more yards to move up to third in career receiving yards under Patterson.
