TCU leads SMU 21-10 at halftime

TCU quarterback Casey Pachall threw two touchdowns, and running back Matthew Tucker powered in for a four-yard score late in the second quarter as the Horned Frogs got out to a 21-10 lead Saturday night over SMU at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas.

Pachall completed touchdown passes in the first quarter to receiver Ladarius Brown and Tucker, whose second touchdown of the game came on the ground with 2:11 left in the half.

The Frogs’ second touchdown of the evening was set up by safety Elisha Olabode’s 51-yard interception return down to the SMU 8-yard-line.

SMU running back Zach Line scored the Mustangs’ only points of the half with a 22-yard touchdown run at the 9:24 mark of the second quarter. Kicker Chase Hover added a 29-yard field goal with 44 seconds left in the half.

Pachall finished the half 8-of-18 passing for 76 yards.

Tucker led TCU on the ground with 45 yards on 14 carries.

TCU was flagged for 120 yards on 11 penalties.

SMU quarterback Garrett Gilbert finished the half 7-of-21 passing for 91 yards.
