By The Numbers: TCU vs. Texas Tech

The TCU Horned Frogs will play the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday in TCU's annual homecoming game. Here are 20 statistics, facts and figures about the two teams coming into the game:

1- The number of games both Texas Tech and TCU need to become bowl eligible. A win by either team will guarantee a bowl appearance for that team.

2- The number of times Gary Patterson has faced Texas Tech as a head coach. Patterson is 1-1 in his career against the Red Raiders.

2- The number of opponents who have thrown for more than 200 yards against TCU. The two teams were Baylor (326) and Kansas (303).

4- The number of interceptions TCU cornerback Jason Verrett has. Verrett leads the Big 12 in this category.

5- The number of returns (both punt and kick) that TCU has returned for at least 50 yards.

9- The number of Big 12 teams that rank in the Top 25 for toughest schedule.

499- The number of yards Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege threw for against West Virginia. The performance was a career best for Doege.

2005- The last year TCU played on ABC. TCU defeated the Oklahoma Sooners, 17-10.
