Collin Klein, the Heisman hopeful, has been the front and center of the game today, where he’s thrown for 103 yards, including a 62-yard completion to Chris Harper. He has the sole touchdown of the game, running for a 7-yard gain in the first quarter.

Despite the 13 point lead, TCU’s defense has held Kansas State to 2.8 yards per carry and 160 yards overall.

TCU’s defensive front has been strong, seeing sacks from Stansly Maponga, Chucky Hunter and Devonte Fields. Fields, who leads the Big 12 in sacks and tackles for loss, also had an interception in the first quarter, the first pick of his career.

TCU’s offense has been lackluster at best. Quarterback Trevone Boykin left near the end of the first quarter with an arm injury and did not return until less than five minutes remaining in the half.

The offense has gained 99 yards, only 41 of which were in the air. The longest completion of the game has been for seven yards.
