Despite windy conditions, the women’s golf team bounced back in Baton Rouge from previous season disappointment and earned their best finish all season.

The No. 58 ranked Horned Frogs finished 4th-place this weekend at the LSU Tiger Classic ahead of two top-25 ranked opponents—No. 17 NC State and No. 19 Georgia. TCU also finished ahead of six top-50 programs.

Alexandra Bonetti and Sanna Nuutinen led the Frogs with top-ten finishes in individual competition. Bonetti finished with an overall 224 earning 6th-place and Nuutinen a 225 for 7th-place.

No. 8 Arkansas captured the title with a score of 899 over No. 24 Tulane. TCU finished with 916, marking their fourth- top 10 result in the past eight tournaments.

Sophomore Kortnie Maxoutopolis tied for 31st, one spot ahead of her 32nd finish at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The transfer from Rutgers has improved her finish each tournament this spring.

Maxoutopolis and Maria Maymon shot a pair of 78’s in the final round of competition.

TCU will return to the tees April 12 at the PING/Arizona State Invitational in Tempe, Ariz.
