TCU athletics announced the schedule and activities of Spring Frog Fest, which will include the only publicly open football practice this semester and the return of the spring equipment sale.
The event, set for Saturday, April 6, will be a one hour long practice, and will be the first publicly open spring practice since the spring game in 2011. It will also serve as TCU's 15th and final practice of the spring.
Practice begins at 10:15 a.m. on the football practice fields behind the Sam Baugh Indoor Facility on TCU's campus.
TCU sports information director Mark Cohen said in a text message that "no photos or video will be permitted at practice" for media members. He also said "the same guidelines apply to the general public."
The spring equipment sale, also the first since 2011, will be on the Kelly Center Lawn and will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The sale will feature TCU gear and memorabilia, including jerseys, sweats, shoes, hats, polos and other pieces of equipment from various athletics teams, including baseball and basketball.
The TCU football team will be available for autographs on the Kelly Center Lawn from 1 to 3 p.m.
Other features of the Spring Frog Fest will include the TCU band, cheerleaders, Showgirls and live music. The event will end with TCU baseball playing in Lupton Stadium against San Francisco University at 4 p.m.
