TCU basketball signees Michael Williams and Brandon Parrish received all-state and all-region honors from The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC).

Williams and Parrish joined center Karviar Shepherd in signing with TCU last fall during the early signing period. ESPN ranked the trio in the top 40 (No. 36) entering the late signing period.

Williams, a 6’2” guard from San Antonio’s Reagan High School, was an all-state selection and one of 20 student athletes listed on the Class 5A team. He earned All-Region IV honors and was chosen to compete in the 2013 TABC 4A-5A All-Star Game May 17 in San Antonio.

The three-star recruit, according to Rivals.com and Scout.com, lead Reagan to the 4-5A district title and a 25-6 record. The Rattlers reached the area round of the 5A state playoffs. Williams posted a team-high 17.1 points per game and grabbed 4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals. He also had nine 20-point games and scored double figures in 27 of 31 games.

Parrish also earned all-region honors for district 2-4A while playing for Seguin High School. The Arlington native led the Cougars to the 2-4A state playoff regional final and was ranked the No. 143 overall player for the class of 2013 by Rivals.com.

The 6’5” wing led Seguin with 14.7 points per game in his senior season. He had 24 points in a 71-63 victory over eventual 4A state runner-up Kimball Dallas in early December on ESPNU.

TCU will add to the 2013 class later this month during the late signing period. The month-long period begins April 17 and ends May 15.
