Four-star quarterback Foster Sawyer says he is 100 percent committed to TCU

Four-star quarterback and All Saints High School (Fort Worth) quarterback Foster Sawyer has commited to play football at TCU, committing over universities such as Alabama, UCLA and Oklahoma State.

Sawyer is the second quarterback commitment to TCU from the class of 2014. Three-star dual-threat quarterback Grayson Muehlstein committed to TCU earlier this year.

Although committed to the university, Sawyer and Muehlstein are not yet signed to TCU and cannot sign their letters of intent until the Spring of 2014.

The two players have the right to change their commitment to another school before the spring signing deadline.  Rivals.com has Sawyer rated a "solid verbal" commitment to the university.

In an interview with TCU 360, Sawyer said he is "100 percent committed" to signing with TCU.

Sawyer said he liked the analogy TCU coaches gave to him, and quoted it as his sign of commitment to the university.

"They said a commitment is like a marriage," Sawyer said. "Once you say yes, you have to stay with it."

Sawyer said he committed to the university because he liked the small class sizes and felt he'd improve overall as a player and person at TCU. He also said his mother and two older siblings, who also went to TCU, were "in the back of his mind" when he made his commitment.

The 6-foot-5, 215 pound signal caller led All Saints to an undefeated season (11-0) and a  Texas state title in the small school divison of the Southwest Prepatory Confernce. Sawyer ranked as the No. 20 pro-style passer in the nation by 247Sports.com and the No. 14 overall quarterback in the nation by Scout.com.

Sawyer, who earned All-SPC honors, threw for 2,800 yards and 31 touchdowns last season, including 454 yards and six touchdowns in the title game.
