After suffering its third straight loss, the TCU baseball team continues its homestand getting back into Big 12 Conference play in a weekend series.

The Horned Frogs lost against Stephen F. Austin 6-3 Wednesday night after giving up a season-high six runs in the fifth inning.

On Friday TCU will start a weekend series against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Oklahoma State is coming off a 4-2 win against Oral Roberts.

The Cowboys (23-8) currently sit in fifth place in the Big 12 with a 4-4 record in conference play, while TCU (14-19) is tied for eighth place in the conference with a 3-6 record.

TCU holds a one game advantage overall against the Cowboys with a 13-12-0 record in the history of the teams’ meetings.

The projected starter for TCU for Friday’s game is sophomore right-hander Preston Morrison.

In the opener against University of San Francisco April 5, Morrison threw his second career complete game. He has a 1.19 ERA.

First pitch for Friday’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
