TCU set to get back into Big 12 weekend play

After suffering its third straight loss, the TCU baseball team continues its homestand getting back into Big 12 Conference play in a weekend series.
The Horned Frogs lost against Stephen F. Austin 6-3 Wednesday night after giving up a season-high six runs in the fifth inning.
On Friday TCU will start a weekend series against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Oklahoma State is coming off a 4-2 win against Oral Roberts.
The Cowboys (23-8) currently sit in fifth place in the Big 12 with a 4-4 record in conference play, while TCU (14-19) is tied for eighth place in the conference with a 3-6 record.
TCU holds a one game advantage overall against the Cowboys with a 13-12-0 record in the history of the teams’ meetings.
The projected starter for TCU for Friday’s game is sophomore right-hander Preston Morrison.
In the opener against University of San Francisco April 5, Morrison threw his second career complete game. He has a 1.19 ERA.
First pitch for Friday’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
