Agnes Kemboi and Ashley Eckhoff placed in the top 15 of the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays, as part of TCU's honors in track and field competition this weekend.
Kemboi finished third in Los Angeles with a time of 16:19.92 minutes and Eckhoff placed 13th with a time of 16:32.51.
Over at Baylor, where TCU's other team members were competing, TCU won two events at the Michael Johnson Classic.
Charles Silmon placed first in the 200-meter dash in 20.76 seconds. He is ranked second in the Big 12 for the event.
Cameron Parker won the triple jump with a jump of 15.91 meters. He is ranked first in the Big 12 for triple jump.
The men’s 4×100-meter relay placed second in 39.55 seconds. The team includes Silmon, Harvey McSwain, Ronnie Baker, and Raymond Bozmans.
Megan Smith placed second in shot put with a throw of 16.24 meters, which is a personal best. Kelsey Samuels finished in fourth with a throw of 15.78 meters.
The Horned Frog’ next meet is the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Baylor on May 3.
