Two undrafted TCU Horned Frog football players found a new life in the NFL after signing free agent deals with professional teams.

Former tailback Matthew Tucker landed with the Philadelphia Eagles and former receiver Skye Dawson signed a deal with the Washington Redskins.

Specific contract details for any of the players, such as monetary figures and length of contract, are not known at this time by TCU 360 staff.

Matthew Tucker, who the primary tailback for the Horned Frogs in 2012 after Waymon James tore a knee ligament, ran for 505 yards and six touchdowns. Tucker was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for his senior season campaign and was one of three TCU players invited to the 2013 NFL combine.

Tucker ran a 4.55 time in the 40-yard dash and bench pressed 17 reps at the combine. He had 57 yards rushing and two touchdowns against the Texas Longhorns on November 22 in Austin.

Skye Dawson, a receiver primarily used as a special teams returner at TCU, was recognized as an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for his return work. He had an average punt return of 9.4 yards and an average kick return of 22.5 yards per return.

He finished third on the 2012 team with 455 reception yards and second on the team with 34 receptions. Dawson had a career best 10 receptions and 154 yards against Texas Tech and scored a touchdown.

Former offensive lineman Blaize Foltz received an invitation to a training camp workout with the New Orleans Saints as well.

Foltz, a native of Rose Hill, Kan., was a All-Big 12 Second Team selection after his senior season in 2012. He started all of TCU's 13 games at guard.

Foltz graduated with a degree in communications while at TCU with a minor in social work.

Earlier on Saturday, receiver Josh Boyce was drafted in the fourth round by the New England Patriots. Defensive end Stansly Maponga was drafted in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons.

Other TCU alumni on the move
In other TCU alumni news, linebacker Jerry Hughes, a key member of TCU's Fiesta Bowl team and a former first-round draft pick, was traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kelvin Sheppard.

Hughes has 62 tackles and five sacks in his career as a defensive end and linebacker with the Colts, who drafted him with the 31st pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
