The TCU equestrian team added another rider to its roster today after Hunt Seat coach Logan Fiorentino announced the addition of South Anchorage High School graduate Kari Hancock.
Hancock, who has already been accepted to the John V. Roach Honors College and chosen as a Chancellor's Scholar, will join the team in the fall, according to a press release.
Hancock competed on the HITS Thermal Circuit in California and was named the 2010 ASH Large Junior Working Hunter champion in addition to winning championship honors at the EEC Hunter Derby.
Hancock also won the WCCEC George and Brenda Wuerch Hunter Classic Championship and the WCCEC Open Equitation Challenge during her time in high school.
“She has a fantastic set of fundamentals and basics to go along with her experience riding a variety of horses," Fiorentino said. "I’m looking forward to seeing what Kari is capable of achieving at TCU."
