Jantzen Witte, Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year, was among eight members of the TCU baseball team recognized by Big 12 coaches as all-conference performers on Tuesday.
Sophomore pitcher Preston Morrison was named to the first-team, while teammates Witte and freshman pitcher Alex Young were recognized on the second-team.
Starting sophomore pitcher Brandon Finnegan, junior second baseman Paul Hendrix and freshman center fielder Boomer White received honorable mention recognition.
Young, White, and pitcher Riley Ferrell were selected to the 12-man All-Freshman squad.
The Frog’s second leading hitter, Jantzen Witte, earned Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year along with K-State’s Jared King. Both players earned a 3.2 or higher and competed in at least 60% of their team’s games.
