The 2012-2013 fiscal year was record breaking for TCU athletics fundraising, according to a tweet posted yesterday by TCU sports information director Mark Cohen:
It's a TCU record! Total athletics giving was $47,350,856 for 2012-13 fiscal year. New mark is over $8 million more than previous record.

TCU athletics declared just more than $47 million in sports donations for the 2012-13 financial year, with just less than $11 million coming from Frog Club, Cohen said.
The $10.93 million given in private contributions to Frog Club — an all-time record for the organization — mainly consisted of donations for the Amon G. Carter football stadium renovation and donor parking gifts for football, baseball and basketball, said Frog Club executive director Jeremiah Donati.
Other areas of funding came from capital giving, endowed scholarships and contributions to specific athletics programs, Cohen said.
Cohen said that the record amount of donations was due largely in part to TCU’s escalating fan base over the last few years.
“It’s just a great sign of the momentum that we have at TCU,” Cohen said. “We have an incredible fan base that has great passion for the Horned Frogs, and we are very grateful.”
Cohen said that he hopes to continue breaking fundraising records next year.
